YOUNGSTERS have helped to create a lasting memory of their time at school.
A group of 170 pupils from Holy Rosary RC infant and junior schools, Rievaulx Avenue, Billingham, posed for a group photograph as part of The Northern Echo's Millennium School picture series, so that in years to come they could remember where they were during the millennium.
Each school featured in the series will be presented with its own colour print.
Headteacher John Lyons said: "The photo is a kind of memento of the children's time at school during the special millennium year so they can look back in years to come and find their place. We wanted to mark it in a special way and this is a nice way to do so.
"We have put the photograph in the entrance to the school so that it is the first thing that visitors to the school see. It captures the spirit of the school and the togetherness. It also captures the character of the children. It is a nice keepsake for them."
Copies of the above picture can be ordered by contacting our Photosales department on (01325) 381313.
If you want your school featured in the series, contact Mike Gibb or Andy Lamb on our picture desk on (01325) 505036.
