REPAIRS are needed to a boiler to make sure Scouts do not go cold this winter.
Newton Aycliffe Scout Supporters' Association is inviting tenders for repairs to the Scout Centre, in Bluebell Way, which is 22-years-old.
As well as supporting Scouting activities, for which no charge is made, the hall is used for junior Thai boxing and as a meeting place for the Candlelight folk and live music clubs.
The hall is also available for private hire and there is a licensed bar open to members, guests and parents of children using the facilities.
Association secretary Christine Kenney said: "We need these repairs doing because of the age of the building."
Tenders are invited for rewiring, repair or replacement of the heating boiler, repair or replacement of a sprung wooden floor, and replacement of a fire door and external door and frame.
Anyone wanting to submit a tender should contact Christine Kenney on (01325) 310886, to make arrangements to visit the centre to discuss requirements.
The closing date for tenders is October 24.
