THE second meeting of South Durham Health Care NHS Trust's patient and carers' council is held today at Bishop Auckland Town Hall.
Members will get the chance to learn about the new hospital being built at Bishop Auckland, and there will be a presentation on the hospital outpatient appointment systems at Bishop Auckland General Hospital and Darlington Memorial Hospital.
The council was set up in May to involve patients and carers in the planning and improvement of hospital and community health care services in South Durham.
The meeting, at 4pm, is open to the public. Anyone interested in joining the council can contact Christine Evans on (01325) 743722
