A PAIR of leather-clad raiders were on the run last night after a raid on a motorcycle shop.
A lone female assistant was attacked when the two men burst into S and S Motorcycles, at Gilling West, near Richmond, in North Yorkshire.
The raiders then set fire to the premises before speeding off on a waiting motorbike.
Their victim was left uninjured but badly shocked, and firefighters from Richmond and Colburn were quickly on the scene.
However, a rack of motorcycle clothing was destroyed in the blaze, which took the fire crew half-an-hour to bring under control.
Both raiders wore black leather motorcycle clothing and full-face crash helmets. They spoke with North-East accents.
The raid took place at about 11.40am and detectives in Richmond are appealing for anyone with information, or who may have seen the two men, to contact them on (01748) 823055
