Darlington and District League
Both East End WMC and Cleveland Bridge lost their 100 per cent records when they met in the top of the table clash. A Shaun Collins penalty and a Darren Whinfield strike saw the match end 1-1.
Newton Aycliffe took over the top spot as they scored 17 without reply against bottom club Archdeacon. New secretary David Fawcett top scored with eight while Morgan Fielding, Neil Topping and Marc Addy each grabbed a brace to seal the 17-0 win.
Cricketers Hotel's ageing defence were no match for RA Social's speedy youngsters and Andy Marshall (4) and Nigel Clarke soon led their side into a five-goal lead before John Laycock's header gave Cricketers some consolation in their 5-1 defeat.
Hole in the Wall, who struggle to field a full team each week, are nevertheless having their best season for years and remain in fourth spot with a 5-1 victory against DSRM SC.
The impressive Daniel Leafe with a hat-trick, Paul Robson and Dale Elgie scored for Wall.
Two goals from Daniel Fleary were all Killinghall Arms could muster as they lost 4-2 to Speedy Hire.
Chilton Seniors are another side on the up and they had an emphatic 7-2 win against winless visitors DGSOB.
Shuttle and Loom gained their second win of the season with 4-2 win at point-less Rothmans.
Spraire must have been practising their set pieces as they scored three times, twice form free-kicks and once from the penalty spot to record their first league win of the season by the odd goal in five at Post Boy. Earlier, Peter Robson and Jason Catterall had twice given Post Boy the lead.

North-East Christian Fellowship League
Ithe first round of the Charity Shield, Monkwearouth Christians beat Middlesbrough Baptists 3-1 with goals from Ben Hodges, Andrew Bolt and Barry Ward. David Miller replied for Middlesbrough Baptists.
Having been thumped 4-0 in the league, Airport Church met Arthenians in the Charity Shield and gained revenge, winning 2-0 with Barry James and Andrew Nordenfeldt scoring.
Heworth Christian Fellowship had a pair of goals from Gary Harkness but Lanchester Chapel's David Marrin and Karl Hepplewhite each scored a brace for Lanchester to win 4-2.
Second Division Jesmond Parish Church B's Jamie Church put them ahead in the first minute before Mark Langdown equalised later in the half for Bethshan Christian Centre in their Charity Shield second round. Simon Cooper put Jesmond back in the lead only for David Longhurst to equalise in the last five minutes. The match went into extra time with Paul Gribbon scoring in the first half of extra time for Bethshan who held on until the final whistle, winning 3-2.
A pair of goals from Andy Widdington and a penalty from David Robinson gave Jesmond Parish Church a 3-0 win over Westgate Road Baptist Church.
Hat-tricks from Craig Laycock and Brian Coleman and a pair from Tim Boyes saw Yarm Emmanuel beat Wearside Community Church B 10-1. The other scorers were Richard Costello and Darren Laycock while Kevin Gardener struck for Wearside.

Darlington Spraire Lads
With no games for the U-7s they played each other in a friendly, the older team winning 5- 1. A hat-trick by Jackson Kneeshaw and two from Chambers secured the win.
The goal for the younger team coming through a penalty from Liam Jarvis.
The under eights played a league game against Hartburn with Kneeshaw scoring on his debut the other goal coming from man of the match Chambers.
In a friendly, Spraire played a mixed
under seven and eight team against Hartburn winning 2-0 the goals coming from Jarvis and Johnston.
Still in the small sided game the under nines had a 10-0 victory at Seaton Carew the goals coming from Petch (5) Swainston (4) with the other scored by Raper.
The B team played at Coulby Newham losing 4-1, the goal coming from Swan with the man of the match nomination going to Wilson.
At U-12, Spraire were unlucky to loose 3-2 against Leven in a good team performance. The goals came from Knox and Elgie with Pitt getting the man of the match.
The U-12 reserves lost 2-1 at Peterlee.
All three U-13s played, the B team enjoying a massive 16-0 win over Norton Board, goals coming from Graham, Alderson, Tarren (2),
Jackeway, Martin, Robson, McGee, McDonald. (2), Nimmo (5) and Walker man of the match went to Langley.
The A team at this age level were involved in a much closer game, losing 2-1 to Cleveland Juniors, the goal coming from Oliver. The C team were on the wrong end of a 2-1 scoreline, the goal coming from Lowther and man of the match was Thompson.
At U-14, Spraire had a good 4-1 victory over Cleveland Juniors while at U-15 both Spraire teams were unlucky to lose, the A team 3-2 to Kader in a close-fought game, the goals coming from Banks and Wakefield. Man of the match was
Palmer. The B team went down 5-3 at Northallerton. Bennett and
man of the match Pattison scored for Spraire and there was an own goal.
The U-16 team kicked of their league season against Guisbrough and with only three minuets remaining he game seemed to be heading for a goalless draw when Stephenson, 20 yards out, scored a marvellous goal with a shot into the top corner.
In the last minute Gilbey wrapped up the game to make the final score 2-0 to Spraire.

In the previous week's matches, the small-sided teams gained good results in the second week of the season. At U-8 level Spraire drew 1-1 with Brinkburn Minnows. Chambers, Johnstone and CharIton all going close before Johnstone scored the goal. Man of the match was jointly shared by Noble and Chambers.
At U-9 Spraire Lads played Hartlepool St Francis, winning 1-0 the goal coming from Swainston. The man of the match award went to Petch, a close run thing with keeper Lipton who made some excellent saves.
The U-10s played Billingham Town, drawing 2-2 in a great team performance Coglan, who got both the goals, and gained the man of the match award. This league game was followed by a friendly that Spraire drew 1-1, the goal coming from Walker.
In the 11-a-side game Spraire U-12 visited Newton Aycliffe and despite a good performance Spraire went down 2-1, their goal coming from Hill. The B team went to Richmond and never real got going against a good Bedale team. gong down 8-1, the goal coming from man of the match Thompson.
At Under-13 level only Spraire Dynamos turned in a credible performance in which Spraire were reduced to eight men for most of the second half due to injury. They
battled to the end but lost 5-2. The man of the match at this age is sponsored by Ellis Leatherbarrow and went to Rawlings.
The Under-16 season started in the Durham Cup at Sunderland. Against a goodteam Spraire snatched an early 2-0 lead. However, it was always difficult to hold and Sunderland Redhouse eventually equalised. The game went to extra time in which two tired teams continued to play well. However, the only way to separate them was through penalties. Even then after the five penalties they could
not be separated, the game going to the dreaded sudden death penalties and unfortunately Spraire lost out.
The goal scorers in a good team performance were Blenkharn
and Stephenson.
