AN award winning youth theatre group is appealing to readers of The Northern Echo to come forward with their memories and photographs of mining.
BATH - Bishop Auckland Theatre Hooligans - has secured National Lottery funding to develop an art exhibition based on mining.
The teenagers will work with North-East artist Aidan Doyle, who is passionate about reminding people how important an effect mining has had on shaping the area.
The exhibition will include photographs and interviews with former miners.
Anyone who can help can contact Shoana Hall, community education worker, on (01388) 603543, or King James I Community Association in South Church Road, Bishop Auckland
