SERIAL pest Ashley Jones was jailed for six months yesterday after two separate breaches of an anti-social behaviour order.

Jones, 45, who has been arrested more than 350 times, became one of the first people in the country to be placed under such an order in December last year.

But Newcastle Crown Court heard yesterday how the Libyan-born former boxer breached the order within weeks.

Jones, otherwise known as Hussein Mohammed Jazwi, was placed under the court order in an attempt to combat his persistent drunken rowdiness.

He was already banned from the Metro rail system, Newcastle Airport, South Shields ferry and a string of pubs in South Shields.

As part of the order, Jones, of Condercum Road, Newcastle, was banned from contacting former girlfriend Haleema Abdullah, or from going within 100m of her home in Hazel Grove, South Shields.

However, on two occasions this year, he turned up drunk at her home and had to be removed by police, Rose Scott-Bell, prosecuting, told the court how,.

During the second visit, on July 15, he pushed past her and entered the house.

Ms Scott-Bell said: "He was drunk and when she asked him to leave he started shouting. She did not phone the police because she was too frightened.

"He went upstairs and fell asleep. When she saw he was asleep she took the opportunity and called the police."

Jones admitted breaching the order and was jailed for six months.
