THEAKSTON's Brewery in Masham has given £750 to charities working for the welfare of children and animals.
The Paradise Fund, launched in February, has helped nine local causes, and more cash is available.
This month, the Jerry Green Foundation Trust, in Catton, was given money to sponsor a dog's board and lodgings plus medical costs for a year.
The Burton Leonard out of school club and the Masham NSPCC Tweenies group, which supports Army wives and their children, were given cash to help with running costs.
Theakston's cooper, Mr Jonathan Manby, said: "We are delighted with the nominations. All we can say is, keep the suggestions coming in."
