TWO police constables turned the clock back to help revive memories of the force's early history in east Durham.
Durham Constabulary, Easington police division, the community safety department and Age Concern have been working in partnership to look at the issues surrounding the fear of crime.
As part of the project an exhibition was staged in the Church of Ascension Hall, Easington Colliery.
The display included old photographs and memorabilia which helped to tell the story of the policing of yesteryear in east Durham villages.
PCs Hugh Ward and Steven Coxon were on hand to give an informal presentation as well as assurance over crime to the elderly who visited the exhibition.
Anyone wanting any more details about the project should contact Kathleen Young, at Age Concern House, 65, Seaside Lane, Easington Colliery, or telephone 0191-527 2359
