A TAXI driver and passenger escaped with minor injuries after crashing into a bus shelter in Consett on Monday morning.
The incident happened outside Elddis Caravans, in Delve Lane.
The 59-year-old driver, from Consett, suffered minor face and knee injuries, but refused treatment,while his 20-year-old female passenger, also from the Consett area, was taken to Dryburn Hospital, in Durham, with minor injuries
