AN annual shopping event, which raises money for charity, hopes to top the £100,000 mark later this month.
The Durham Shopping Extravaganza has raised £86,000 in the past 11 years for good causes in County Durham.
The event is on Wednesday and Thursday, October 18 and 19 , at Ramside Hall Hotel, near Durham City, from 10am to 4pm.
About 60 traders will be selling goods, including designer clothing and fine foods.
The proceeds this year will go to St Teresa's Hospice, Darlington, Teesdale and Weardale Search and Rescue and the Children's Foundation Yellow Brick Road Appeal.
