The best individual performances of the week were the maximums for Bruce Ross of Willington Cottles and Raymond Jackson of Oakenshaw Club, with Colin Davison hitting a sixteen darts game for Willington Burn.
The Victoria Club lead the table by five points from Willington Burn, who are five ahead of Willington Cottles, who were able to close the gap after recording the best win of the week.

Tow Law Bass League
Sunniside Moss Inn made their best win of the season when they beat the visiting Tow Law Cattle Mart, who share the second place in the table. The Mart took both the trebles points to give them a great send off but the Moss replied with singles points from Peter Moore, Lee Cullinan, John Howe and Lol Cullinan with only Malcolm Boughey and Michael Henry able to reply. The Moss clinched their victory by taking the first two doubles.
The leading individual scorers were G Dodd 180 and 140 for Billy Row Club, P Moore with two 140s and Lee Cullinan and Lol Cullinan 140 each for the Moss, S Umpelby two 140s and J Melles 140 for the New Market B, M Boughey 140 for the Cattle Mart and N Saville 140 for McKennas.
Billy Row Club lead the table by fourteen points from Esh Stag's Head, who have a match in hand, and Tow Law Cattle Mart.

Bass Ladies League
Janine Oliver of Croft Social Club B became the first player to hit a maximum this season. The other leading individual scorers were Claire Batey with 121 for Sunnydene Lodge and Alice Samuels with 114 for Croft Social Club A.
Crook Queen's Head only managed to edge through their home game against Croft Social Club A by the odd point and this allowed Croft Social Club B to move up to share the top spot with them after they beat the visiting Sunnydene Lodge by three points.
Both Croft teams won the captain's points with the Croft B leading the Captain's League.

Champions Belle Vue WMC suffered a shock defeat at home to newly promoted Market.
A big home win against Farrers Arms has taken White Swan into top spot in Division Two. Surtees are a point behind with Mill House in third place.

The Team KO Cup qualifiers were held at two venues with the winner from each going through to play-off on the finals night at the end of the season.
At the White Swan five teams tried for the final spot with the Crook Coach and Horses coming through.
In the first round, Crook White Swan beat the Three Blue Blanchland Sports Club 4; Stanhope Grey Bull 7, Wolsingham Black Lion B 1.

The Hartlepool derby, between two unbeaten teams, The Royal and Burn Valley Social was played at the Royal and it turned out a little one-sided. Jean Atkinson (15.08) beat Pat A Smith (14.73) 3-2, Babs Evans (20.08) beat Vera Oliphant (16.04) 3-1, Ellen Humble (11.23) beat Dorothy Pounder (1157) 3-1, Jean Robinson (18.11) beat Sonya Hepple (14.94) 3-0 and Julie Sorby (15.13) beat Claire Stainsby (14.69) 3-1 to put the Royal 5 up. The pairs were shared.

Wings Club Stockton were at home to M & D Club Stockton where the home side got off to a good start with Jean Hagan (11.22) beating Sandra Reed (10.59), 3-0 Pat J Smith (17.28) beat June McLoughlin (16.01) 3-0, Vee Page (16.43) beat Barbara Bradley (14.72) 3-1, M & D got their only point when Gail Carhart (14.72) beat Mollie Pywell (14.44) 3-1. The Cricketers Arms, Stockton were at home to the Sheraton. Karen Jones (13.05) got the visitors off to a winning start when she beat Shelley Chinnock (11.81) 3-1. The home side took the next three games, with Marje Gunn (12.05) beating Sheila Smat (11.65) 3-2, Karen Monaghan beating Rosie Scarth 3-1 and Louise Allen (16.28) beating Pauline Crowe (116.49) 3-1. The home side conceded the next game a player short but took both pairs.
