SEASIDE trips are back on the agenda for Teesside villagers after a bus company agreed to lay on extra stops.
Fed-up residents of East Cleveland villages, which have been excluded from services from Middlesbrough to Whitby and Scarborough for years, recently expressed their annoyance in a 600-name petition.
They presented the petition to Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council in a bid to gain its support in putting pressure on Arriva to re-route its number 93 service through the area.
Now they have secured a victory in persuading the operator to divert a special summer service their way.
From next May Bank Holiday, the X93 bus will carry passengers from Charltons, Margrove Park, Boosbeck, Lingdale and Stanghow to the coast.
