A FORMER Yorkshire cricket star, who works part-time at Northallerton College, has kept a promise to support the hospital unit that helped him recover from a triple heart bypass operation.
Arthur Robinson, who played for Yorkshire during the 1970s, presented a £500 piece of heart monitoring equipment to the rehabilitation unit at Northallerton's Friarage Hospital.
The equipment was bought from the £686 raised at a concert given by two bands at Northallerton College, where Arthur, 54, works as a part-time youth officer.
He said: "I persuaded the staff and students to give the concert to help me say thank you to the people at the Friarage. I was really impressed with the care I received."
Arthur presented the equipment, and a set of mats for relaxation exercises, to Linda Simms and Penny Clarke, of the Friarage.
