ACCOUNTANTS will be breaking their dress code and going to work in jeans today - and are hoping others will follow suit.
Mitchells Chartered Accountants in Bishop Auckland are casting aside their dress code for the national Jeans for Genes Appeal.
They will all pay £1 to dress in jeans for the day and the proceeds will go to five charities including Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital charity and the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, to fund research into childhood genetic disorders and provide advice and support services for families.
Tony Dover, a partner at Mitchells, said: "Jeans for Genes is a great charity to support.
"Not only is it a fantastic cause, to find a cure for children affected by serious genetic disorder, it is also very easy to organise.
