A LUCKY Darlington supermarket shopper has scooped a family holiday worth more than £1,000.
Winner Sheila Robinson received the holiday in a charity draw held at the Morrisons store in Morton Park, Darlington, in aid of ChildLine, the supermarket's charity of the year.
The competition was run in association with Associated Co-operative Creameries (ACC).
Sheila, from Bishop Auckland, was just one of thousands of people who bought a raffle ticket.
Morrisons and ACC, which provided the prize holiday voucher and supplies the national supermarket chain with milk and other dairy produce, sold more than 136,000 tickets at family fundays across the country.
Mrs Robinson said: "It came as a complete surprise when they told me that I had won the competition.
"This is the first time in a long while that I have won anything so I'm absolutely delighted.
"I shop at the Morton Park store all the time so I bought a few tickets to take part in the celebrations and help raise money for charity.
"The staff there are always very friendly so I've received numerous congratulations from many of the employees."
Morrisons fundays and charity raffles have been a huge success, and the company has raised an impressive total of £250,000 for ChildLine.
