Consett 1
Guisborough Town 1
A DEPLETED Guisborough extended their unbeaten run in Albany Northern League Division One to three games.
Guisborough had their best chance of the match to open their account as the fast and furious first half drew to a close. Mickey Driscoll's powerful header beat everyone including keeper Platten, only to rebound off the cross bar.
While the scoreline would reflect a close match the second half belonged to Guisborough, who stunned the home crowd by taking the lead on 55 minutes. A Steve Corden cross saw Richie Storr race in a head into the back of the net.
The Priorymen took control of the match but were unable to break down a dogged defence and as the game drew to a close Consett started to assert.
Their equaliser came with only six minutes left, when substitute Chris Hodgson rounded keeper Stephen Carter to fire the ball home.
Guisborough Town: Carter, Roulston, Allinson, Corden, Mowbray, Driscoll, M Ward, Makin, Storr (Todd), Forster, Richie.
Guisborough's next match is tomorrow at home to Jarrow Roofing, ko 3pm.
