Skelton could soon be put in the picture about the antics of local criminals.
A closed circuit television system is being bought and installed through a £53,300 Single Regeneration Budget grant, covering the full length of the high street 24 hours a day and other vulnerable areas.
Pictures from the spies in the skies will be beamed back to Redcar and Cleveland Council's CCTV control room.
De Brus School, Skelton and Brotton Parish Council, the Health Centre, the borough council and Bells Stores are sharing the upkeep costs for four of the cameras.
And traders operating in the centre of Skelton have agreed in principle to funding the two cameras planned for the high street
