PUPILS from a North-East nursery have raised money for a national meningitis charity - and dressed up as ducks for the occasion.
The youngsters from Hurworth House School Nursery, near Darlington, County Durham, took part in a sponsored toddle around the village.
The event was organised by Christine Henry, head of nursery at Hurworth House.
She said that the children had dressed up as ducks in white jumpers and yellow legs and wore yellow rubber gloves on their feet.
Their disguises were completed with a duck face mask.
She said: "The children were very excited about the toddle waddle, and they hope they have raised a large amount of sponsor money in aid of this very worthwhile cause.
