PUPILS from a Teesside school will be pointed in the right direction next week at the launch of an orienteering course at Stillington Forest Country Park.
The youngsters from William Cassidi Church of England Primary, Stillington, are being led around the course, next to their school, by Mike Hardy, of Cleveland Orienteering School.
The course is a joint venture between the school and Stockton Borough Council's countryside team, and has been partly sponsored by Tees Forest and local company Darchem.
Forest park warden Ian Bond said: "The park's contoured terrain makes it an ideal course for people wanting to try orienteering."
Jean Piart, the school's headteacher, said: "The children already have one orienteering course in the school grounds and it's wonderful that we're going to have a larger one next door."
