A YOUNG people's centre is going from strength to strength after achieving three major successes in recent months.
The OK4 centre, based at Coatham Memorial Hall, in Redcar, east Cleveland, has just appointed a new project leader, Jessica Lanfranconi, to run a scheme to help alleviate anxiety and stress.
She will contribute to the improved service offered by the centre since it moved from its old premises in Milbank Terrace, where it had operated under cramped conditions for eight years.
The organisation received another boost last month when it was granted charitable status, which will help it to move forward and expand its services.
Jill Jakubowiak, a development worker at OK4, said the recent improvements bode well for the future.
"Our new premises are just down the road from our previous base, near the library, housing and benefit offices," she said.
"There is more space to develop new ideas, as well as continue our existing services."
