The condition of a schoolgirl who suffered serious head injuries after a car hit a bus stand, has improved slightly.
Laura Salmon, 11, is said to be poorly but stable in Middlesbrough General Hospital.
She was one of six 11 to 13-year-olds injured, in Bedale Avenue, Billingham, as they waited to go to Northfield School on Thursday. Jessica Swales, 11, sustained leg injuries and the others were described as "walking wounded".
The driver of a BMW was questioned by police, before being released.
