PEOPLE are being given the chance to find out how youngsters are being stopped from committing crime.
The North Durham Youth Offending Team is holding an open day on Friday, October 20, between 2pm and 5pm, in the Louisa Centre, Stanley.
A Durham County Council spokesman said: "Education, social services, probation, health and the police are involved in the service, which officially came into being in April this year.
"Team members will be available to talk and answer questions about projects specifically for North Durham or about youth crime generally, the fear of crime and community safety issues.
