A DAY of music, storytelling and activities placing the spotlight on family learning was staged at an open air museum yesterday.
The event, at Beamish Museum, County Durham, formed part of a national event organised by the Campaign for Learning.
Visitors to the museum were able to try their hand at making clippy mats in the Miner's Cottage, while Tales of the Packhorse Woman were told by Sharon Jacksties in the Great Engine Shed. Folk musicians Bob Fox and Benny Graham performed throughout the day, in the Roland Cookson Room in the town, while family fun trails and competitions were held in the education room, at Home Farm.
