FILMMAKERS are preparing to capture a piece of the Harry Potter magic within the majestic surrounds of Durham Cathedral.
During the last week, a class of Hogwarts School room has sprung up within the cloisters of the cathedral.
The set was caught on camera by a student at Durham University. He returned with his camera to take some more shots, but found security had been tightened up and he was told that photographs were forbidden.
True to the spirit of the books by JK Rowling, the filming of Warner Brothers' Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, has been shrouded in secrecy.
The film, directed by Chris Columbus is expected to be released in autumn 2001.
