THE annual meeting of the Friends of St Edmund's Church, Sedgefield, will be held in the church on Tuesday, at 7.45pm.
The Friends, who have just completed a successful first year, are always on the look-out for new members and anyone interested should contact the secretary, Dr Joyce Jordan, or attend the annual meeting.
The Friends are planning a visit to Durham Cathedral, when they will see parts not normally open to the general public, to hold a ceilidh, a concert performance of the Messiah, and whisky tasting.
St Edmund's has has already benefited from the Friends with electrics being upgraded
