MOTORISTS are being warned of disruption on two of the region's main roads.
Work is going on to resurface and reconstruct the A1(M) between Burtree and Newton Aycliffe, in County Durham.
The work, which also involves the replacement of the central crash barrier, will last until the end of the month.
To minimise disruption, the work is being carried out between 8pm and 7am on weekdays, and there will also be lane closures and a contraflow in operation. A 50mph speed restriction will be in place.
Similar work is also being carried out on the A66 between Elton and Sadberge, near Darlington
