NURSES will be swapping their uniforms for something more glamorous at a fashion show next week.
The nurses, from Northallerton's Friarage Hospital, will model autumn fashions on the catwalk during Barkers' gala evening, on Thursday next week.
The Northallerton department store has adopted the Friarage as its charity for the millennium year, which marks the business' 125th anniversary.
Managing director Charles Barker said: "It's a special year for us and we wanted to support a special cause, so we are delighted that staff from the Friarage have agreed to help us by becoming models for the evening."
Tickets for the event are £5 and are available from Barkers' customer reception and the ladies' fashion department
