RESIDENTS in rural County Durham are being invited to air their views at a meeting to discuss the agricultural crisis.
The public meeting - Farming and the Countryside in Crisis - is being held to give rural dwellers the chance to speak to, and question, a major figure in agricultural policies.
Robert Sturdey MEP, the Conservative spokesman on agriculture in the European parliament, will speak on the crisis, followed by Richard Dodd, regional representative of the Countryside Alliance.
The meeting, which is a joint venture between local Conservatives and the Countryside Alliance, will be held at the George Hotel, Piercebridge, near Darlington, on October 20, at 7.30pm.
