TWO women are raising a sweat to raise cash for a charity aiding sufferers of cerebral palsy.
Friends Janet Luke and Tracy McKee will take part in the Great North Run, on October 22, for Scope as they are regular visitors to the charity's Chester-le-Street shop.
They also chose Scope because Janet's boyfriend's grandson, two-year-old Jordan Kelly, of Framwellgate Moor, Durham City, suffered from cerebral palsy.
Shop manager Dawn Dawson urged people to put their loose change into a collection bucket, which the women will carry around the 13-mile course.
Anyone wanting to sponsor the pair can call at Scope, Front Street, Chester-le-Street, or ring 0191-387 1753.
