RICHMOND area riders are saddling up next Saturday to support a campaign to reduce the number of equestrian accidents on the roads.
Twenty people are taking part in national horse and road safety day for a campaign launched by Horse magazine and the Peugeot motor company and supported by the British Horse Society.
The aim is to foster better understanding between motorists and horse riders.
On foot supporters will be distributing information to motorists they meet along the route, giving five important safety messages they want them to follow and safety rules are also being distributed to riders.
Anyone who wants to join in on horseback or on foot should contact Mrs Slinger on 07718 769405 or 01748 834305.
