CHILDREN from across the region put their best foot forward as part of an international event.
International Walk to School Day was celebrated last week by schools throughout Britain, America and Canada.
Children from Redcar's Coatham Primary School were given an insight into the event's international scope when Ron Gomer, Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council's road safety officer, presented them with a commemorative poster in five languages.
Mr Gomer said International Walk to School Day aimed to raise awareness of the benefits of walking and the children had responded well to its message.
