ONE of the North-East's top photographers is to give a masterclass deep in a 5,000-acre forest.
Freelance Jeff Teasdale, of Chester-le-Street, is at Hamsterley Forest, near Bishop Auckland, on Sunday, October 22, to help visitors capture its rich autumn colours on film.
Forest ranger Simon Blenkinsop said: "Autumn is a fantastic time in Hamsterley with the colours deep, golden and vibrant.
"Jeff will lead a relaxing stroll to search out subjects and offer advice on composition."
A professional photographer for more than 35 years, Jeff Teasdale claimed top prize in the Fuji - Practical Photography magazine awards.
After the workshop people will be invited to send him their pictures for comment.
The event, starting at 10.30am, is aimed at people with a basic knowledge of photography. To book, ring (01388) 488312. The charge for adults in £10 and £7 for concessions.
