STUDENTS from Redcar and Cleveland are set to take the Millennium Dome by storm today.
A group of youngsters are giving a performance in the Dome and artwork by students from Redcar and Cleveland College will also be on display.
The performance and exhibition, based on the theme of local myths and legends, form part of the national Our Town scheme. Youngsters from all over the country spend a day in the Dome telling everyone about their part of the world.
The artwork has been created by first and second year NVQ art and design students, under the supervision of college tutor Paula Hunton. Following its showing in London, the exhibition will transfer to Kirkleatham Hall Museum, Redcar, where it will be on display from next Saturday, October 21.
Museums curator Phil Philo said: "We are very pleased to be associated once again with the college. The artwork covers a whole range of different techniques and, clearly, the theme of myths and legends has acted as a real inspiration to them."
