NATIONAL Park bosses from Slovakia have brought an eastern European influence to the Yorkshire Dales.
Four visitors from the Low Tatras National Park are visiting the Dales to find out about the work of the local authority's ranger service, and partnerships with schools.
Head of park management, Jon Avison, said: "This visit is a great opportunity to progress our partnership with the Low Tatras National Park, and for both national parks to benefit from each other's expertise in managing protected areas.
"It will be interesting to find out how they tackle issues we also face here in the Dales."
The visitors are being taken to an area actions open day in Askrigg,
Mr Avison said: "At the open day they will see the local community of Upper Wensleydale telling us what they want done to improve the built and natural environment of their area.
