Despite defeating Albany Northern League side Eppleton CW 9-0 last week in the Durham Challenge Cup, Jarrow still face a daunting task today when they visit leaders Nissan for a Sunderland Shipowners' Cup-tie.

Jarrow have taken just two points out of a possible 39 in the League and manager Paul Thu is hopeful that his side will be inspired by last Saturday's huge win, when David Kilford scored eight times.

The visitors have a doubt over midfielder Chris Stewart but Thu is almost certain to field an unchanged side.

Boldon CA and Harton and Westoe meet with Boldon manager David Jones reporting that full back David Carson and midfielders Ian Simpson and Keith McRitchie are all able to resume.

The visitors are still minus suspended pair Michael Meek and Gary Davies but Andy Smyth has recovered from a cartilage operation.

New Marske visit Stanley United and expect to have the former Norton player Paul Harrison in contention. Jimmy Scott, goalkeeper Andrew Bensley and Ben Walker are definitely ruled out.

Stanley United give a home debut to Steve Pigg, formerly with Annfield Plain and Brandon, but Shaun Gregory, Tony Hopkins and Tommy Spence are all sidelined. John Dettmer is added to the squad.

A boost to Simonside's chances at home to Thornaby-on-Tees is the availability of goalkeeper Shaun Babadi. With Lee Bays and Ryan Scott also in the frame, Simonside will parade a much stronger side.
