POLICE hunting a suspected rapist say they have gathered a number of "positive" leads.
Detectives from Darlington questioned weekend revellers in the town in an effort to catch the man responsible for the rape of a 21-year-old woman.
She was attacked in Darlington's North Lodge Park early on Saturday, October 7, after leaving the Mardi Gras club.
Police have already released an e-fit of the suspect, who is described as being in his twenties, between 5ft 7in and 5ft 10in tall. He was wearing a black or dark blue adidas top and lightcoloured trousers.
Inspector Ian Coates, of Darlington police, said: "There are a number of positive leads, but still a lot more inquiries to be made."
