A KEEN basketball player was so fed up of not being able to get a game that he decided to form his own team.
Now, all Jonathan Thompson needs is some team-mates.
Jonathan, of Woodham Village, Newton Aycliffe, County Durham, started playing at Darlington College of Technology about three years ago.
But the 19-year-old has been unable to find a team which would take him on, so he formed the Newton Aycliffe Bombers.
He said: "I played for the college for a while, but I only had one game because it was hard to find teams willing to play against us. Since then, I've been looking for a team to play for and in the end I just got sick of it and decided to form one myself. I'm doing it for players who maybe aren't too good, but want to develop and learn."
Jonathan is the club chairman and he has recruited a secretary and treasurer. He has applied for a National Lottery grant and made inquiries about joining a local league, but first he needs more players.
Anyone interested in joining the team can contact Jonathan on (01325) 312569.
