PUPILS at a Darlington comprehensive school had a tremendous day when a music roadshow paid a visit.
The Lloyds TSB Live music bus, a fully-adapted double-decker, gave the children of Longfield Comprehensive School the chance to use modern technology to record their own compact disc.
A total of 28 pupils took part in the workshop and had a great time composing music throughout the day.
Music teacher Andrea Whisker said the day was even better than she expected.
She said: "It was brilliant, absolutely amazing. One of the girls said it was the best day she has had at school, and I don't think they have experienced anything like it.
"I thought it was going to be a good day, but you never know until they're here.
All the other kids in the school have shown an interest and a few of the staff came down to see how they were doing. They've had a wonderful day."
The children split into two groups for the music-making event. Half of them went on the bus and the other half occupied three classrooms, before swapping places.
The music they created was based around a story.
The organisers of the event say a compact disc of the best material will be produced and sent to the school.
