A CHARITY supporter described as a "walking miracle" is in the region.
David Paterson, 44, from Bedford, has been praised for his fundraising efforts for arthritis research, despite suffering from the condition himself.
He will be outside the SavaCentre, in Durham Road, Stockton, until Sunday, October 29, from 10am to 4pm, collecting for the campaign.
David has raised more than £455,000, after fundraising for 21 years. In 1986, pioneering surgery gave him back his mobility.
Campaign regional fund-raiser Christine Baker said: "David is a real wonder at raising money for us, and we're always on the look-out for new volunteers to help out."
