PROBLEMS such as unemployment, homelessness and disability will be helped thanks to a donation of £64,000 by one of Redcar's biggest businesses.
The American firm DuPontSA Polyester, which operates from the Wilton site, has given the money to the Cleveland Community Foundation.
The foundation raises money from business for charitable purposes. It invests the money and then distributes the income to local charities and voluntary groups.
Chris Nicholson, communications manager of DuPontSA Polyester, said: "As a successful international business, our donation is an example of the way we can put something back in the communities where we operate."
