A SUPPORT group for people in Teesside with epilepsy has been awarded a £1,000 Lottery grant to tell the community about its work.
The Middlesbrough and district Epilepsy Support Group will use the money to start an improved information and education service.
The group already has an information service, and holds regular group meetings.
The new service will include mobile information stands, which can be used for displays in the community.
It is hoped the stands will be available for doctors' surgeries, schools, colleges and other organisations. They will be manned by volunteers from the group, who will answer questions from the public.
The group meets on the first Tuesday of every month at St Mary's Centre, Corporation Road, Middlesbrough, from 7pm until 9pm
