A SERIES of accidents brought a factory canteen to a halt yesterday.
But fortunately, nobody was injured for real when the mock incidents were staged at Cummins Engine Company, in Darlington, as part of a series of events for Health and Safety Week.
This year the emphasis is on back care.
Other activities at the Yarm Road plant yesterday included fitness tests, blood pressure checks and a visit from a road safety officer. A physiotherapist was also giving advice on back care and posture.
The events were organised by occupational health adviser Linda Johnson and nurse Helen Davies
