Darlington U-18s crushed Sandal 53-0 with first-half tries from Chris World, Paul Walker, James Brimlow and Andrew Laidlaw, Steven Taylor adding three conversions. After the break Ben Hampshire, Nikki Turner(2), Johnathan Smedley, Tarn Bainbridge and a Taylor conversion completed the scoring.
Darlington U-15s beat Cumbrian champions Egremont 12-10 after leading 7-5 at half-time through a try by Adam Parker which was converted by Michael Stowe.
A series of forward moves led to a try by Stowe but a breakaway try and conversion by Egremont ensured an exciting finish.
Darlington U-13s won an exciting game with Middlesbrough 8-5.
Darlington minis took part in Sandal's 25th anniversary invitation festival with teams at under 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 age groups.
Darlington's teams gave a very good account of themselves with the U-7s winning their competition, an excellent achievement as some as young as five and have only been playing rugby for six weeks.
The U-10s were runners-up in their group and overall it was a tremendous display of rugby from Darlington against some of the best mini sections in the North.
