IT'S a tough job, but primary school children have set out to find the most unusual doughnut filling possible.
Supermarket giant Tesco laid down the challenge to all junior schoolchildren in Northallerton and said it would not settle for the traditional jam or lemon curd.
Bakery manager Fion Bull said: "We have asked the children to come up with the most imaginative filling for doughnuts, as well as coming up with a design for the packaging of their new product."
The children have four weeks to find a winning formula and the creator of the top recipe will be given the chance to visit the store's kitchens and bake their own doughnuts.
