GIFTED youngsters in Darlington took part in a languages day yesterday.
Groups of pupils were sent into the town centre on a listening trail, which involved them listening to a tape and answering questions in French and German.
They also took part in an information search, visiting stores and businesses, and carrying out tasks in both languages.
The languages day was organised by Hummersknott Comprehensive School, which has been designated a language college by the Government
