YOUNGSTERS in Darlington are to perform an encore for people who were unable to see them represent the town at the Millennium Dome in London.
The Darlington Partnership has arranged for the children who entertained Dome visitors to repeat their performance at the town's Arts Centre next Saturday.
Seventy boys and girls had the task of conveying images of their home town through song, dance, mime and music, as part of the McDonald's Our Town Story.
Accompanying the performance, which will start at 5.45pm, will be a display of photographs taken by The Northern Echo on the day.
Rumana Ramzan, general manager of The Darlington Partnership, said: "We wanted to bring the performance back to Darlington because many people could not see it in London on the day, and it was so well received."
Tickets for the event are free but must be booked in advance by telephoning (01325) 486555.
Photographs of Darlington's Day in the Dome can be bought from The Northern Echo's office in Priestgate.
People can buy 8in by 6in photographs for £6.50, or 12in by 8in photographs at £8.50.
To order them call at The Northern Echo front reception or telephone the photosales department on (01325) 381313
