CHILDREN are being taught that beauty can be found in even the seemingly mundane, during the Big Draw art project at Middlesbrough Art Gallery.
Youngsters are working with writer Bob Beagrie and artist Adrian Mole, to "paint a picture of an average person on an average day in Middlesbrough".
The first day of the workshop, on Friday, was attended by children from Archibald Primary School.
Today's session is open to all youngsters aged between eight and 12. Their work will be used to create a frieze, that will be presented at various venues throughout the town over the coming months.
