TENANTS on Teesside are being asked to come up with a name for a company, which could take control of the council's housing stock.
Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council has been briefing tenants in the build-up to a ballot in the new year, to decide whether the stock should be transferred to a non-profit-making housing company.
With a £50 cash prize, donated by Bells Stores, a competition has been launched to find a company name. A competition form will have been sent to every tenant by the end of this month.
The final decision will be made by the company's shadow board, which is made up of five tenants, five councillors and five housing experts.
