COUNCILLORS have inspected the site where a McDonald's restaurant could be sited, yards from the front doors of residents in Redcar.
Families in Hanson Street are opposed to plans for the restaurant, on the site of the old gasworks, in West Dyke Road and Thrush Road. They are concerned about noise, pollution, litter and smells, and feel extra traffic will be a danger for children.
The council's planning committee is being recommended to approve the application.
